Google Web Elements as a way to embed rich content into your blog, wiki or other site.

Sometimes you just find great things by accident – and I just found another.  Google Web Elements is another one of those things that will allow you to embed several types of helpful Google content types into your blog, wiki, Google Site or just about anywhere else you can use EMBED codes.

I can think of quite a few uses for the Spreadsheets web element – such as posting scores on formative assessments, or as an classroom dashboard for all sort of things to give students immediate feedback on the subject matter being covered.  One can embed a RSS feed using the Reader web element to point students to appropriate up-to-date news stories.  I’m thinking that the uses are pretty endless, as long as one approaches these with a creative mind. The Conversation element is pretty interesting as well

Check out Google Web Elements and I think you will find one you can use today in your classroom teaching.
