Classdroid – an Android-based assessment application

I saw a few Twitter messages from my PLN (@timlauer) about Classdroid today and thought I’d take a look and see what it was and how it worked.  John McClear ( @johnmclear ) is a school technical support and server administrator in the UK and has written a few cool apps and recently released Classdroid, which is described thusly:

“Classdroid is an Android App for teachers that allows teachers to quickly take a picture of a students work, grade it and upload it to a wordpress site.”

I’ve had quite a few teachers looking for just such an application – one where they can assess students work on the fly (instant feedback!) and not have to pause to record it in the wonderful student information systems they use 🙂

So – go take a look at his work and see if it fits your needs.  In the comments, you will see that he is looking at adding the ability for the app to talk to Moodle.  That would awesome!
