edCampGR After Action Report #edcampGR
I shared this email with the staff of the Kent ISD on how our 3rd edCampGR went. It’s always important to tell others about how they play a part in putting on events like this, and also bringing awareness to staff across the district about what we do to make education better for our kids.
I thought I’d share a bit about how our 3rd year of edCampGR went with you.
We had quite a few people spend all day Saturday with us at the ESC engaged in great conversations about how to make our teaching practice more effective in K-20 education.
Because edCamps are all about sharing the learning – please take a look at:
- Pictures from the day via the PD Hub FB page and Amanda Walma
- Sessions that were given by our participants
- Tweets shared throughout the day with resources, wonderings, and other thoughts.
- Coverage in the Grand Rapids Press and MLive
I had so many people tell me how well the event was run compared to other events they have been to. As usual it’s because I had a great team helping out and spending their Saturday sharing both what the Kent ISD is about and how each of us can make education better. Thanks to Amanda Walma, Violet Parmeter, Andrew Steinman, Craig Steenstra and Kindy Segovia.
If you have any questions about edCamp and unconferences like it, let me know and I’d be happy to share how to plan such an event.
